John grew up in Waterloo, NY, where much of his time was devoted to sports. He explored nearly every sport available before focusing on wrestling, track, and cross-country during high school. Outside of athletics, John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often riding 4-wheelers and seeking out challenging trails—something he still enjoys today.
After graduating in 2008, John began his career with the United States Air Force, departing for Basic Training just three months after high school. His passion for both law enforcement and the military led him to pursue a role in Security Forces, combining the best of both worlds. Upon completing Basic Training, he was stationed in Minot, North Dakota, where he performed Nuclear Security in the missile fields. It was during his time in Minot that John met his future wife, and together they started a family, welcoming a daughter. Unfortunately, a knee injury brought John’s military career to an early end.
John faced what he thought would be a tough challenge—convincing his California-native wife to relocate to his hometown of Waterloo, NY. However, once she saw the stunning landscapes and attractions of the Finger Lakes Region, the decision became easy. With his family settled in Waterloo, John set his sights on a new career path and pursued an education in IT. He earned his A.A.S. in Networking Technology from Bryant and Stratton College while working full-time and providing independent IT services for both commercial and residential clients.
Throughout his diverse career journey, John has been fortunate to meet many incredible people. Now, as a Realtor, he applies the same dedication and care to his clients that he has brought to every other aspect of his life. Drawing on his experiences, John uses his real estate career as a platform to give back to his community. He hopes to work with the V.A. to support affordable housing initiatives for veterans.
